On July 22 – 23, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), together with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), organized a training program titled, “Web Application Penetration Testing, Batch 1.” The training was provided to 140 participants, including government officials, private sector employees, students, and the general public. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, ICT Mahidol. And, the opening remark was addressed by Ms. Suchana Sinthavathavorn, Director of Quality of Life and Security Development and Promotion Department, depa. On this occasion, Dr. Ittipon Rassameeroj, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, and Dr. Songpon Teerakanok, Instructors of Computer Science group, served as keynote speakers via Webex Meetings.
The training, “Web Application Penetration Testing,” aimed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills in identifying vulnerabilities and conducting penetration testing on web applications. Participants were taught the principles and methods of performing web application penetration testing accurately and securely. Through the training, participants will be able to apply the knowledge gained to enhance their security and that of their organizations.
