On 15 November 2020, the Team NAKAMA, which is comprised of Mr. Pada Kanchanapinpong and Miss Vipawan Jarukitpipat, 4th year students, Mr. Supakarn Laorattanakul, Mr. Thanapat Jumnongrat and Mr. Thanaboon Sapmontree, 2nd year students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), beat 10 teams to win the 1st prize and 100,000 Bath in the “LINE HACK 2020” competition, held by LINE Company (Thailand) Limited at GlowFish co-working space, Sathorn, Bangkok.
Team NAKAMA’s awarded project is related to the “Development of Meeting Chatbot”, a feature in LINE group which helps schedule an appointment within a LINE group, as well as send a reminder to the group members.
LINE Company held the hackathon competition for 4 consecutive years. This year, the online competition was divided into two categories and two themes:
- General Public, under the theme “Tomorrow’s New Normal”, innovating products/services to support LINE’s users in a pandemic-stricken world, adapt to the new norm and shaping the future.
- Undergraduate Students, under the theme “Life on LINE”, the competitors were required to develop useful services for LINE users’ daily life.
The Faculty of ICT would like to congratulate the Team NAKAMA for winning the first prize.
