On April 5, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a ceremony to mark the occasion of Songkran’s Festival. The event, titled “Merit-making, Dhamma Listening, Water-pouring Ceremony,” featured traditional Thai activities, including offering food to monks, pouring water on Buddha statues, and listening to Dharma. The Dean, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, led executives, instructors, and staff in these activities at the Innovative Space, the 1st floor and the Grand Auditorium, the 4th floor of the ICT Building, Salaya.
In addition to the religious ceremony, the staff and faculty members also poured water on the hands of senior instructors and staff, including Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarernsri L. Mitrpanont, ICT Mahidol’s Senior Advisor, Mr. Unnop Sathirapunya, Senior Advisor for Engineering and Systems, as well as Mrs. Amornrat Chairat, Deputy Dean for Budget and Finance, at the Grand Auditorium, 4th floor, ICT Building, Salaya.
In the afternoon, the Happiness-Enhancing Team hosted Game Booths, including Bingo, Cans Shooting, Baskets Throwing, and Karaoke. Money from the sale of game booth coupons will be donated to Watpramorpisai School in Bang Len, Nakhon Pathom.
