On 16 October 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), welcomed the Parents Network and grade 11 students of Suankularb Wittayalai School for their visit. On this occasion, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, addressed an opening remark to all participants. Following that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Charnyote Pluempitiwiriyawej, ICT Instructor, gave a presentation about the overall information of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) to all students. Then, “Admission Criteria for Academic Year 2023” was explained by Organizational Communications Staff. After that, alumni of Suankularb Wittayalai School: Mr. Kittikhun Thongkanchorn, Computer Technical Officer (Senior Professional Level), and Mr. Navaplud Saimool 4th year students of ICT International Program, shared their study experiences with all students. This session was moderated by Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap, Instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group. Finally, “Student Activities & International Opportunities” was presented by Mr. Stephen Edward Smith, Student and Alumni Engagement Officer at the Grand Auditorium, 4th floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
Respectively, a faculty tour, which included a Smart Classroom, the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU), as well as a presentation of Students’ Senior project, were given to the Parents Network, school counsellors, and the students of Suankularb Wittayalai School.
This activity aimed to introduce the programs of the Faculty of ICT, as well as to build relationships and foster collaboration with parents, guidance counselors, and students from the school.
