On June, 22, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a lecture on “Practicing Understanding in Procurement through Petty Cash”. On this occasion, Mr. Kanitpat Srinuntakul, Acting Head of the office of the Dean, Miss Pichitra Sirisrisumphan, Acting Head of the Payroll and Information Technology Unit, as well as Mr. Palot Trimek, Acting Head of the Finance and Accounting Unit, served as guest speakers. The lecture was attended by 33 participants, including Mrs. Amornrat Chairat, Deputy Dean for Budget and Finance, who represented the Dean, and representatives from various departments. The lecture took place in Room IT 404, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya, from 09:30 to 11:00.

This lecture was part of the “Faculty’s Good Governance Development Project, Fiscal Year 2023”. It aimed at enhancing staff’s knowledge and understanding of guidelines, regulations, and practices, enabling them to effectively apply them in their daily tasks. Furthermore, it corresponded with the criteria of the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA), which involve promoting organizational culture, and implementing measures to enhance ethics and transparency in operations.

The lecture topic was derived from the Comptroller General’s Department and Mahidol University’s guidelines on procurement with a small budget supply. It focused on promoting convenience, efficiency, and streamlining of work processes in alignment with the Ministry of Finance’s Regulation on Public Procurement and Supplies Administration B.E. 2561 (A.D. 2018), document no. 0405.2/119 dated March 7, 2018 (B.E. 2561). In addition, the Faculty utilized petty cash as a funding source for procurement, which had been implemented for a period of time. Therefore, to review and ensure consistent practices, this lecture was organized to create a shared understanding of accurate information.
