On 14 December 2022 – Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), together with Dr. Wachara Riewpaiboon, M.D., Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University, welcomed Assoc. Prof. John Ross Rizzo, Associate Professor, Department of Neurology, as well as Mr. Anbang Yang, Ph.D. candidate from New York University, United States of America (NYU) during their visit for a research collaboration meeting. On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, and executives from many MU faculties and institutes also greeted the NYU delegates warmly. Furthermore, a demonstration of Wearable Devices was shown to MU executives at Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
After the meeting with MU executives, Assoc. Prof. John Ross Rizzo, and Mr. Anbang Yang, NYU provided a training on “How to Use the VIS4ION-Thailand: Visually Impaired Smart Service System for Spatial Intelligence and Onboard Navigation” to Ratchasuda College’s faculty members and staff. Following that, the NYU delegates visited the MU AI Center, the Faculty of ICT, and participated in a research collaboration meeting to discuss “Ph.D. research topics” with ICT Mahidol representatives: Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, and Lect. Nattachart Tamkittikhun, instructors. They also exchanged research knowledge with Dr. Wachara Riewpaiboon, M.D., Ratchasuda College in Room AI1, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
