ICT Mahidol welcomed delegates from National Central University (NCU) and Tamkang University (TKU) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on the occasion of their visit and discussions on academic collaboration

On August 21, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems, Lect. Snit Sanghlao, Assistant Dean for Engineering and Environment, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, and Dr. Peter M.D. Scully, Instructors in Computer Science Academic Group, as well as Mr. Nattachart Tamkittikhun, Ph.D. student in Computer Science, welcomed delegates from National Central University (NCU) and Tamkang University (TKU) in the Republic of China (Taiwan) for a visit and discussions on academic collaboration. The topics discussed included the development of a dual degree program, faculty and student exchanges for the Summer Internship Program, and joint research. The meeting took place in Room IT404 on the 4th floor of the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The visiting delegates included:

o Prof. Chih-Lin Hu, Department of Communication Engineering
o Prof. Po-Lei Lee, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
o Assoc. Prof. Sheng-Chih Chen, College of Communication

• Tamkang University (TKU)
o Assoc. Prof. Lin Hui, Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering

Additionally, Miss Voramon Kachanun, Miss Penpitchapa Pantaraksakul, Mr. Kitiphum Mueangthongkham, and Miss Jidapa Moolkaew, third-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (International Program) who participated in the Summer Exchange Program at National Central University (NCU), also took part in welcoming the delegates.

After the discussions, the Dean and faculty members from ICT Mahidol also took the delegates on a tour of the Faculty of ICT’s learning facilities, including computer laboratories, Bits and Bytes Hall, smart classrooms, and IoT (Internet of Things) laboratory. The IoT lab tour was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, Instructor in Computer Science Academic Group, and Mr. Tamakorn Jiamrachada, Computer Technical Officer from the Technology Infrastructure Department.
