ICT Mahidol welcomed delegates from Peking University, People’s Republic of China, on a visit to research laboratories and academic collaboration discussions

On August 21, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, and Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research, warmly welcomed delegates from Peking University, People’s Republic of China, in Room IT404, 4th floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya. The visit included a tour of the research laboratories at ICT Mahidol and discussions on academic collaboration. The topics covered faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint research.

The visiting delegation from the School of Computer Science, Peking University, People’s Republic of China, comprised:
• Professor Hu Zhenjiang, Dean of the School of Computer Science
• Professor Zhou Minghui, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science
• Yang Shu, External Relations & International Student Coordinator

During the visit, the Dean and faculty members of ICT Mahidol guided the delegates on a tour of the faculty’s research facilities. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Peter Haddawy, Deputy Dean for Research; Dr. Myat Su Yin, Senior Researcher; and Mr. Thanin Rabiabpho, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science, introduced the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU) to the delegates. Following this, Mr. Tamakorn Jiamrachada, a Computer Technical Officer from the Technology Infrastructure Department, and Miss Pallas Santipaisarn, a Research Assistant, introduced the IoT Laboratory (IoT Lab).
