On February 27, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, Global Talent Professor, welcomed delegates from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia. The visit aimed to foster academic and research collaborations. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy and Dr. Myat Su Yin, Senior Researcher at ICT Mahidol, introduced research projects from the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU Lab). The discussions focused on joint research initiatives, including the UTM-DiR research project and collaborative studies on Mathematical Modelling and Simulation with Artificial Intelligence, held at the MIRU Lab on the 2nd floor.

Following discussions at MIRU Lab, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, provided an overview of ICT Mahidol, including its academic programs as well as teaching and learning. Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, Program Director of Ph.D. in Computer Science and Research Cluster Head of Medical Informatics Research Clusters (MI), as well as Machine Vision and Information Transfer Lab (MVIT), introduced the International Ph.D. Program in Computer Science and presented research projects from the MVIT Lab. Additionally, Dr. Sirawich Vachmanus, Instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, presented his research in his field of expertise. The meeting also included discussions on research collaboration and student exchange opportunities. The event took place in Meeting Room A2 at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
