On June 27 – 28, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “Transformative Learning” activity for freshmen of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) for the Academic Year 2024. The 2-day event was held at the Sirividhaya Building, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University. Throughout the event, staff from the Contemplative Education Center served as facilitators, organizing engagement activities for the new students. The objective was to help the new students develop a positive attitude towards themselves and others, enabling them to engage with and work collaboratively with new friends in a new community. This would help them enjoy their daily life and studies at the university more.
The Transformative Learning activity is organized annually by the Faculty of ICT for new students. Its objectives are to lay an academic foundation, foster and stimulate self-transformation through the learning process guided by the Contemplative Education Approaches, and to encourage students to set goals for personal development, adapt their behavior to the university environment, and get to know themselves and others better.
