On April 2, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized “Thai Class: Talking about Sickness” for international students. The session was honored by Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Deputy Dean for Organizational Development and Special Affairs, and Chair of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT – International Program), to serve as a lecturer to provide insights into using the Thai language for daily communication, with a focus on essential Thai phrases for expressing symptoms of illness, seeking assistance, and describing basic health conditions. The session also addressed common household medicines in Thailand. Additionally, Thai students from the ICT International Program participated as assistant instructors to guide faculty’s member and international students in practicing Thai language skills. The event was held at Room IT321, 3rd floor, ICT Building, Salaya Campus.
The “Thai Class: Talking about Sickness” was organized by the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), to foster an international learning environment, primarily aimed at enhancing Thai language proficiency among international students through interactive role-playing activities. This event not only provided students with the opportunity to acquire essential vocabulary and commonly used phrases related to health and illness in daily life but also cultivated a supportive and engaging learning environment that facilitated seamless interaction and strengthened connections between international students and native Thai speakers.
