On December 14-15, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a workshop titled “Secure Software Development Fundamentals.” On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, Instructor of Computer Science Group and Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Songpon Teerakanok, Instructor of Computer Science, served as speakers. They shared their expertise on the fundamentals of secure software development with 30 participants via Webex Meetings.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with foundational knowledge in secure software development, covering topics from design to implementation with a focus on security. It also provided an understanding of application security standards and how to mitigate the top 10 most common vulnerabilities in applications, as outlined by the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top 10. Additionally, participants learned secure coding practices, which they can apply to improve security within their own organizations.
