On July 13, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a workshop for the “MUICT-AST Tech Competition: Scratch for Sustainability.” During the event, Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap, an Instructor of Computer Science, provided insights about the competition and conducted a workshop on the topic “Knowing How to Impress the Judges.” The workshop covered various topics, including rules, project presentation, storytelling, project demos, interview preparation, and other relevant advice. Conducted online via Webex Meetings, the workshop was attended by 20 teams of high school students selected from over 75 teams nationwide to participate in the competition.
The “MUICT-AST Tech Competition: Scratch for Sustainability,” organized by the Academic Services and Technology Transfer Department of the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, involves creating games using the Scratch program to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each team is required to choose at least one of the 17 SDGs topics. The presentations and judging of the projects will take place on August 3, 2024, at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
