The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), congratulates Mr. Pongpon Tangpigulthong, a third-year student in the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), and a member of the Mission Makers team, for winning the “Prime Minister’s Digital Awards 2023 in the Digital Youth of the Year Category” with their project, “Macheck,” a news filtering platform and browser extension. The award ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society in collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), took place at the “Techsauce Global Summit 2024,” held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) on August 7, 2024. Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, presented the award. On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT Mahidol, personally congratulated and encouraged the award-winning students.
The “Macheck” platform and extension is a collaborative project between students from Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University, Silpakorn University, Assumption University, and Prince Royal’s College, consisting of:

The Prime Minister’s Digital Awards 2023 aimed to promote the creative use of digital technology, maximizing its benefits, and fostering an ecosystem that supports Thailand’s growth and success in business to enhance the quality of life in society. The awards honor outstanding individuals in Thailand’s digital technology and innovation sector across five categories: Digital Youth of the Year, Digital Community of the Year, Digital Organization of the Year, Digital Startup of the Year, and Digital Entrepreneur of the Year. These awards serve as examples and inspiration for the development of digital products and services in the country, supporting a sustainable digital economy and society.
