On July 31, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), hosted a training session titled “NextGen Media Literacy: Creating Learning Media for the AI First Era” for approximately 30 guidance and computer teachers from 14 high schools. On this occasion, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, gave a warm welcome speech to the teachers and officially opened the activity at the computer lab IT105, 1st floor, ICT Mahidol, Salaya.
In this training, Miss Sirirat Wittayakunsatid, Audio-Visual Technical Officer from the Audio Visual and Digital Learning Media Development Department, imparted knowledge on applying popular artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini, to create learning media. The training also covered using these technologies in conjunction with Canva to enhance the effectiveness of teaching students.
At the end of the training, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana presented certificates and introduced the overview information and admission criteria for academic year 2025 of the faculty’s undergraduate programs: B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) to the teachers.
The training activity on “NextGen Media Literacy: Creating Learning Media for the AI First Era” aimed to build relationships and engagement with high schools while promoting ICT Mahidol. The participating high schools included:
