On October 30, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with Bluebik Vulcan Co., Ltd., held an academic seminar, “MUICT-AST the Series: Empowering Tech Innovation through Security, Agility, and Design,” on the topic “Security for Developers.” On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, delivered the opening remarks.
During the session, Mr. Ratapong Wongpaing, Technical Consultant Specialist and Ms. Napassanan Pongthanaracht, Human Resource Intern from Bluebik Vulcan Co., Ltd., shared insights into software security for all participants, including faculty members, staff, students of Mahidol University and other interested individuals. This seminar aimed to equip attendees with a comprehensive understanding of software security, fundamental knowledge for secure programming, techniques for securing web applications, and the roles of Security Tester and DevSecOps (Development, Security, and Operations). The training provided participants with practical knowledge they could apply to their work more effectively.
“MUICT-AST the Series” is an academic outreach program organized by the Faculty of ICT for the third consecutive year, open to all participants free of charge. This year’s series features five topics, available in both on-site and online formats from Wednesday, October 30, 2024, to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The upcoming seminars in the series are as follows:
