Together, they planted 74 trees, including Rain Trees, Pink Trumpet Trees, Sathorn Trees, Butterfly Trees, Black Ebony, etc. This event, symbolizing “World Environment Day,” observed annually on June 5, was held at the Establishment of Mahidol University Bio-industrial Development Center, Salaya campus.
The aim of this activity was to increase green spaces within Mahidol University by planting various tree species. This effort aligns with the United Nations’ (UN) theme of “Land Restoration, Desertification & Drought Resilience” to enhance plant biodiversity. It is part of Mahidol University’s sustainable green development plan, “A Promised Place to Live and Learn with Nature.” It also supports the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
