On April 10, 2025, Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, together with staff members of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), welcomed Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanakrit Neamhom, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Withida Patthanaissaranukool, Lecturer from the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, and a working group from the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) Project at the Faculty Level Within Mahidol University, during their first site visit to ICT Mahidol. The event took place in the A1 Meeting Room, 1st Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The purpose of the visitation was to provide recommendations regarding the organizational overview of the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, and to define the scope of its carbon footprint assessment. In the meantime, ICT Mahidol had previously submitted a report on greenhouse gas emissions from the faculty operation of the 2024 fiscal year.
Mahidol University has established the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) Project at the Faculty Level Within Mahidol University, in which ICT Mahidol has applied to participate as one of sixteen pilot units. The project aims to evaluate data on the emission and absorption of greenhouse gases generated by the operations of faculties and institutes within Mahidol University. The collected data will be used to develop an action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the university, in alignment with Mahidol University’s strategic direction and its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
