The IDHM is envisioned as a critical learning center for developing expertise in digital technologies. It will integrate theoretical learning with hands-on experiences through practical challenges provided by public and private sectors. The hub aspires to inspire and enhance the capabilities of Thai students and the public, especially those who lack opportunities to engage with world-class laboratories. Additionally, it will serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff across various departments to conduct research and utilize resources for real-world applications.

The IDHM aims to become a central hub for integrating digital technologies with other disciplines, both within and beyond Mahidol University. It will support university-led projects as well as initiatives from the public and private sectors, with a particular focus on SMEs.
