On August 7, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resources, representing the Dean, attended the “355th and 373rd AUN-QA ASEAN Level Quality Assurance Certificate Award Ceremony.” The representatives from ICT Mahidol included Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, Dr. Ittipon Rassameeroj, Assistant Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Program Chair of B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Supratak, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group.
On this occasion, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, FACP, Acting President of Mahidol University, presented the AUN-QA certification to the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), along with seven other programs from Mahidol University that also received certification. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Acting Vice President for Quality Development and Social Engagement, welcomed the attendees at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) from the Faculty of ICT received the AUN-QA Level 6 rating out of 7 (Examples of Best Practice) for the second consecutive time. This demonstrates that the program is effectively managed, efficient, meets international standards, and serves as a model of best practices in terms of quality and standards, aiming for excellence on a global scale.
The ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) assessment aims to create a quality assurance mechanism and standardize higher education among ASEAN member universities. The Faculty of ICT participated in the assessment alongside three other programs from Mahidol University: the Doctor of Dental Surgery (International Program) from the Faculty of Dentistry, the Bachelor of Communication Arts Program in Media and Communication (International Program), from Mahidol University International College and the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program from the Faculty of Nursing during January 29-31, 2024.
