On July 3, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized a practical training course titled “First Look at the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System: Learning the Latest ISO Standard for AI Management”. On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, Instructor of the Computer Science Group and Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), served as the guest speaker. He provided insights into the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System standard, which is a framework for managing AI systems within organizations, to all participants. The event was held in the computer laboratory on the 25th floor of the MU Building, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, and online via Webex Meetings.
The objective of this training was to equip participants with preliminary knowledge of the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System standard, including aspects such as AI policy setting, AI risk assessment and treatment, and continuous AI improvement. This will help participants to better understand AI system management within their organizations and apply the knowledge gained from the training in their own work practices.
