On April 4, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “Merit-making Ceremony on the Occasion of the Songkran Festival 2025,” at the Innovative Space, 1st floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The event was honored by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT Mahidol, to lead the executive team, faculty members, staff, and students, in participating in the cultural activity to preserve Thai traditions on the auspicious occasion of the Thai New Year, or Songkran Day. Activities during the event included the offering of dried food and the four essential requisites (Chatupacchaya Thaiyatham), the merit-making ritual of pouring water (Kruat Nam), the traditional water pouring ceremony (Srong Nam) upon monks, and the attentive listening to a religious discourse delivered by 9 monks from Wat Komoot Phuttha Rangsi.
On the occasion of the Thai New Year (Songkran Day), the Faculty of ICT, wishes that the power of the Triple Gem and all sacred entities in the universe may bestow upon everyone happiness, prosperity, good health, success, and fulfillment in every aspect of life.
