On December 4, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), participated in the “AI Vision for Thailand: The First Step for Thailand Sovereign.” The event was attended by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, FACP, President of Mahidol University, and other university executives.
Dr. Pattanasak also witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic collaboration between Mahidol University and Siam AI Corporation Co., Ltd. (SIAM AI Cloud). The MoU aims to drive innovation and technological advancements in the medical field. The signing was officiated by Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, M.D., Vice President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation, and Mr. Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, CEO of Siam AI Corporation Co., Ltd. (SIAM AI Cloud).
The ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Ph.D., Vice President for Research; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vichita Ractham, Vice President for Corporate Communication and Branding; Asst. Prof. Narit Hnoohom, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation; Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; and representatives from Siam AI Corporation Co., Ltd., who acted as witnesses. The event took place at Park Hyatt Bangkok.
The MoU seeks to promote the application of cutting-edge innovations and AI technologies in healthcare, including disease diagnosis, patient care, and various medical services, aiming to improve patient outcomes and public health. Additionally, it emphasizes academic exchange among faculty members, researchers, and experts in advanced technologies, fostering effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
