ICT Mahidol organized “Homage-Paying to Holy Places, Merit-Making Ceremony, and ICT New Year Party 2025”

On December 23, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized the “Homage-Paying to Holy Places, Merit-Making Ceremony, and ICT New Year Party 2025.” In the morning, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, led executives, instructors, and staff to pay homage to holy places at the Faculty of ICT and around Mahidol University, including Chao Por Khuntoong Shrine, Phra Buddha Mahidol Mongkon Panyayarn, the Monument of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej Memorial Statue, and Phra Phuttha Mahidol Mongkol Worayarn. Following that, Buddhist ceremonies included offering a meal and dried food to nine monks from Wat Salawanand receiving blessings from the monks at the Innovative Space, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The Faculty of ICT also organized the “ICT New Year Party 2025” for its faculty members and staff. On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, delivered an opening speech. Mr. Kanitpat Srinuntakul, Advisor to the Dean, and Mr. Noppadol Owartmahasilp, Head of Audio Visual and Digital Learning Media Development, served as the MCs for the event. During the event, various activities took place, including stage performances from new employees, a custom contest under the theme “Back to the Past,” a lucky draw, and a lunch party. The event was held at the Innovative Space, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The “Homage-Paying to Holy Places and Merit-Making Ceremony on the Occasion of New Year 2025” is part of activities to promote Buddhism and preserve Thai arts and culture. The goal was to provide all faculty and staff with the opportunity to make merit to welcome good things and prosperity into their lives in the upcoming new year.
