The Intelligent Digital Hub in Medicine (IDHM) is envisioned as a vital learning resource for developing personnel with expertise in digital technology, as well as to serve as an area for learning combined with real-world practices through the challenges from both public and private sectors. The principal purpose of the establishment of the center is to inspire and enhance the capabilities of students and the Thai public, particularly those lacking opportunities to experience or visit world-class laboratories.

Furthermore, the IDHM will serve as a hub providing opportunities for students, faculty members, and staff from various faculties and institutes under Mahidol University, to engage in study visits and utilize diverse resources for practical works. The hub will also play a central role in integrating digital technology with other disciplines, both within and outside Mahidol University, to support a wide range of projects undertaken by the university, government agencies and private sector – particularly SMEs. It aims to foster cutting-edge innovation that elevates the technological capabilities of both the university and the nation, while also supporting the sustainable development of an international learning economy.
