On January 15, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and Advisor to the ICT Mahidol Cybersecurity Club, hosted a seminar on “IT Audit in Compliance with Cybersecurity Standard ISO/IEC 27001.”
The event featured Ms. Navaporn Chockwanich, Information Security Consultant and an alumna of the Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance program, as the guest speaker. She shared her expertise on IT auditing practices and foundational knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27001 cybersecurity standard. The seminar was attended by faculty members, staff, students from Mahidol University, and other interested participants, totaling 60 attendees. It was held at Room IT331, 3rd floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The seminar aimed to provide participants with insights into IT auditing based on the ISO/IEC 27001 standard. This international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) helps organizations of all sizes and types systematically and effectively protect their critical information. Participants were encouraged to apply the knowledge gained during the seminar to enhance their work and organizational practices.
