On January 22, 2025, Cybersecurity Club of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized a training program “MUICT – AST The Series for Sharing & Chill” on “Cyber Awareness: Protect Yourself from Hackers and Learn Ethical Hacking to Mitigate Risks.”
The seminar featured two guest speakers, Mr. Pathompum Jirakarnpaisan and Mr. Terat Burami, third-year students from the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program). They shared insights on Cybersecurity Awareness with students, staff, and faculty members of Mahidol University, totaling 31 participants, at Computer Lab IT103, 1st floor, ICT Building, Salaya.
The training program, “MUICT – AST The Series for Sharing & Chill,” focused on “Cyber Awareness: Protect Yourself from Hackers and Learn Ethical Hacking to Mitigate Risks” aims to raise participants’ awareness of cybersecurity (Cybersecurity Awareness) to protect against potential threats from hackers. The program covered fundamental concepts of computer system penetration, various scenarios that lead to system breaches, and practical workshops on ethical hacking and preventive measures. By participating in this program, attendees gained a deeper understanding of cybersecurity threats and acquired knowledge that could be effectively applied in their workplaces and organizations to enhance cybersecurity practices.
