On August 22, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), as the Secretariat from the ASEAN side, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Computer Science, attended the “10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the ASEAN-China Network for Cooperation and Exchanges among Engineering and Technology Universities (ACNET-EngTech).” The event took place during the 2023 ACNET-EngTech Annual General Meeting, which was part of the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW), held in Guizhou Province, People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by government officials, executives from leading educational institutions, as well as researchers and academics from the People’s Republic of China and ASEAN member countries via Zoom.
Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, representing the ASEAN side, addressed the establishment of the ASEAN-China Network for Cooperation and Exchanges among Engineering and Technology Universities (ACNET-EngTech) in 2014. He also highlighted the successes of ACNET-EngTech, noting its expansion to include more universities, and expressed his gratitude to the network members for their excellent cooperation.
Over the past 10 years, ACNET-EngTech has expanded to 23 member universities, and has become an important platform for cross-border academic exchanges, providing opportunities for students and scholars to communicate and cooperate. This collaboration covers research cooperation, talent development, and community service activities, contributing to the advancement of science and technology. Furthermore, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, also mentioned the upcoming “2024 ACNET-EngTech Annual General Meeting,” which will be held later this year at Mahidol University.
