On July 1, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) held the “ICT and DST Information Sessions” for first-year students enrolled in the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) for the Academic Year 2024. The purpose of these sessions was to introduce the Preparatory Program and provide information about the curriculum for each program.
During the session, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, delivered a welcoming speech and gave an overview of the Preparatory Program, as well as the ICT and DST programs to the new students. Additionally, Mr. Martin Pieter Willemse, English Team Leader, presented information about English language studies and proficiency requirements for ICT International Program students. Mr. Stephen Smith, Student and Alumni Engagement Officer, was also present to answer questions from international students in the ICT program. The sessions took place at the Prof. Kasan Chatikavanij Lecture Hall, Office of the President, and Room IT204 at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The Preparatory Program aims to equip first-year students with foundational knowledge and skills before the start of the academic semester. This includes mathematics, English language proficiency in reading, writing, and communication, as well as computer skills. The program provides essential knowledge and skills to help new students succeed in their studies at the Faculty of ICT.
