On February 5, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and Advisor to the ICT Mahidol Cybersecurity Club, hosted a workshop on “Hacking Essential & Linux File System.” It was attended by students from the Cybersecurity Club of both the Faculty of ICT and the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University. The event took place at Computer Laboratory 105, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The “Hacking Essentials & Linux File System” workshop aimed to provide foundational knowledge on the Linux operating system, system penetration, and protection techniques, as well as the role of Linux in the Cybersecurity industry. The workshop emphasized Linux as an essential tool for penetration testers and security experts to analyze and defend against cyberattacks in the present day.
