On September 21 and 25, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and Advisor to the ICT Mahidol Cybersecurity Club, along with students from both ICT Mahidol and MUEG’s Cybersecurity Clubs, warmly welcomed guest speakers from Sec Playground Co., Ltd. and Secure D Center Co., Ltd. for a special talk on “CTF For Beginners” and a Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competition for club members from both faculties.
On September 21, 2024, the special talk on “CTF For Beginners” was given by Lect. Sumedt Jitpukdebodin, Chief Executive Officer of Sec Playground Co., Ltd. and Secure D Center Co., Ltd., who shared valuable knowledge about Network Security and Web Security, which are essential for cybersecurity competitions such as “Capture-the-Flag (CTF).” The lecture was held online via Microsoft Teams for the students of the Cybersecurity Clubs.
On September 25, 2024, students from the Cybersecurity Clubs participated in the “Capture-the-Flag (CTF)” competition, organized by Secure D Center Co., Ltd., exclusively for club members. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, advisor to the Cybersecurity Club of the Faculty of ICT, and Dr. Karin Sumongkayothin, instructor from the Department of Computer Engineering and advisor to the Cybersecurity Club of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed the competition organizers. The event was held in the IT105 Computer Lab, 1st floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
