On March 7, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized an ICT knowledge-sharing session on “Cyber Security: Cyberbullying Awareness” for teachers and students of Sriyapai School in Chumphon Province. Mr. Nantachai Yamsophit, Deputy Director of Sriyapai School, delivered the welcoming remarks and inaugurated the event. Following that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Charnyote Pluempitiwiriyawej, an Instructor from the Computer Science Group at ICT Mahidol, served as the keynote speaker for approximately 100 participants via Webex Meetings. He conveyed knowledge about cyberbullying cases occurring online today to raise awareness among students and equip them with skills to address this prevalent issue in today’s online communities. Additionally, it aimed to reinforce responsible and mindful use of technology among students and foster a safe and respectful online community, encouraging the sharing of beneficial knowledge.
After the knowledge-sharing session, Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, represented the Faculty of ICT in expressing gratitude to the management, teachers, and students of Sriyapai School for their participation in the activity. Furthermore, she introduced the faculty’s two programs: B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). Additionally, Dr. Thaipisutikul addressed potential collaborations in academic cooperation between the two institutions.
This activity is part of a collaborative cooperation between the Faculty of ICT and Sriyapai School in Chumphon Province, aimed at sharing ICT knowledge to enhance students’ abilities and skills.
