ICT Mahidol led DST Thai Program students in a study visit to EGAT’s Medical and Health Division

On February 5 and March 12, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology and course instructor of ITDS301 Fundamentals of Healthcare Systems, organized a study visit for third-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The visit took place at the Medical Laboratory, Allied Health Services Department (Radiology), and Pharmacy Department of the Medical and Health Division, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

On this occasion, ICT Mahidol group was welcomed by Dr. Dujrudee Matchariyakul, Director of the Medical and Health Division at EGAT, and Dr. Somchai Sarujikamjornwattana, Head of the Medical Affairs Section. Additionally, Ms. Panapa Nutprasasn, MT., Medical Science Officer Level 9, and her team provided an introduction to the laboratory operations, pathology department, X-ray room, and pharmacy.

This study visit aimed to provide students with firsthand experience in medical laboratory processes, radiology, and pharmaceutical services, as well as insights into the application of technology in healthcare. By learning from industry professionals, students gained valuable skills in health information technology and related fields, enhancing their ability to apply technological solutions in real-world medical environments.
