On January 22, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, organized a blood donation event for patients at Siriraj Hospital. The event took place at the Bits & Bytes Hall, 4th floor, ICT Building, Salaya. During the event, numerous staff members, Mahidol University students, and members of the general public participated, resulting in a total donation of 83 bags or 37,350 cc of blood.
The blood donation initiative was held to address the ongoing blood shortage at Siriraj Hospital, which has persisted since the COVID-19 pandemic began, impacting the hospital’s ability to treat critically ill patients.
