ICT Mahidol and MUEG Cybersecurity Clubs organized a special talk titled “Introduction to Android Application Hacking”

On November 13, 2024 the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and Advisor to the ICT Mahidol Cybersecurity Club, along with students from both ICT Mahidol and MUEG’s Cybersecurity Clubs, organized a special talk titled “Introduction to Android Application Hacking.”

On this occasion, Mr. Weerawat Pawanawiwat, Lead Cybersecurity Consultant, Reconix Co., Ltd. (ICT Alumnus, Batch 13), served as the guest speaker, while having Mr. Phuthana Ampunant (ICT Alumnus, Batch 18), Mr. Chanachon Jansawang (EGCO Alumnus), and Mr. Krittawat Thongnoppakao (EGCO Alumnus) to serve as teaching assistants. Mr. Weerawat shared fundamental knowledge on how to perform reverse engineering towards Android applications. The main objective was to help application developers understand various hacking techniques and detect potential vulnerabilities in Android applications. The session was attended by members of the Cybersecurity Club from both faculties and took place at Computer Lab 105, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
