From October 1-3, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) hosted the “Python for Machine Learning and Applications for Hongsa Power Company Limited” training program. On this occasion, Dr. Sirawich Vachmanus, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group, and Mr. Noppachanin Kongsathitporn, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science, served as the speaker. They shared their knowledge on the application of Python with staff from Hongsa Power Company Limited in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The objective of the training was to enhance both basic and advanced Python programming skills, covering topics such as Machine Learning fundamentals, Deep Learning, Classification, Time Series Data, and Time Series Models. The training also introduced case studies and applications of Python that can be further applied to the company’s mining geology-related work. This training will help participants utilize the knowledge gained to improve their individual tasks and contribute more effectively to company operations.
