On August 10-11, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), held a workshop on the “AI Introduction for Image Processing” course. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, the Head of the Machine Vision and Information Transfer Lab (MVIT) and Program Chair of the Ph.D. in Computer Science, served as the keynote speaker. He shared knowledge on basic Python programming, introductory Neural Networks (NN), and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for image processing with 14 participants. The workshop took place in Computer Lab IT105, 1st floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The “AI Introduction for Image Processing” workshop was organized to provide participants with foundational knowledge of Python programming for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, related tools/programs such as TensorFlow and OpenCV, and the usage and components of Neural Networks (NN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). This training aimed to help participants understand the basics of Python for AI applications and enhance their understanding of using Convolutional Neural Network in image analysis.
