ICT Mahidol instructors visited students participating in the “Internship Program in Japan, Academic Year 2023”

From July 29 to August 1, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, Instructors of Computer Science Group and Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA) at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), visited second and third-year students of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) along with students from the Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science program. A total of 17 students participated in the Internship Program at Osaka University, NARA Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in Japan.

The four-day visit included:

  • On July 29, 2024, a visit to students at the Software Engineering Lab, Osaka University, where Prof. Yoshiki Higo welcomed the delegation. During the visit, third-year students presented their works: Miss Chutweeraya Sriwilailak with “Autorepairability of LLMs” and Miss Ramita Deeprom with “LLaMA-related disucssion on Stack Overflow”
  • On July 30, 2024, a visit to students at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), where Prof. Kenichi Matsumoto and Assoc. Prof. Raula Gaikovina Kula welcomed the delegation. During the visit, third-year students presented their works: Mr. Thanat Phichiphanphongand Miss Sushawapak Kancharoendee with “Security Policies in Software,” as well as Mr. Prachnachai Meakpaiboonwattana with “Effects of LLMs to Software Development based on Hacker News data.”
  • On July 31 and August 1, 2024, a visit to students at Aoki-lab, Ishii-lab, ReaLearn lab, and KnOWLab at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), where Prof. Toshiaki Aoki, Dr. Teeradaj Racharak (Senior Lecturer), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daisuke Ishii, and Dr. Natthawut Kertkeidkachorn (Senior Lecturer) welcomed the delegation and discussed future research collaborations. Additionally, workshops were held for students to present their research projects. The students participated in the internship programs at JAIST included:
