ICT Mahidol organized the “MUICT-AST Tech Competition: Scratch for Sustainability”

On August 3, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), hosted the “MUICT-AST Tech Competition: Scratch for Sustainability.” This competition involves creating games using the Scratch program, aiming to raise awareness about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event was held for Grade 10-12 students, with 20 teams selected to compete from 75 applicants nationwide. On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, delivered a welcome speech to the students in the Innovative Space, 1st floor, ICT Building, Salaya.

Morning and afternoon activities include presenting the projects, detailing the development process, and testing each team’s game system. The games must align with SDGs, demonstrate creativity, and effectively utilize various techniques in Scratch. The judges are Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research, as well as Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap, Instructor of Computer Science, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patompong Johns Saengwilai, Instructor of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University.

For the award ceremony, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology presented the first to third place awards and the honorable mentioned prizes also gave the closing remarks.
