ICT Mahidol organized the “New Undergraduate Student Orientation for the Academic Year 2024 (ICT & DST Programs)”

On August 2, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), held the “New Undergraduate Student Orientation for the Academic Year 2024 (ICT & DST Programs).” The morning session was for new students of the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), and the afternoon session was for new students of the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). During this event, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech and extended his best wishes, encouraging students to pursue their academic aspirations to become future IT professionals dedicated to serving the nation. The ceremony was held at the Professor Dr. Chatchawan Osathanon Lecture Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya.

Following that, Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Program Chair of the ICT International Program, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, Advisor to the Dean, and the Program Committee provided advice on academic aspects, student services, and important information that students need to know. Additionally, Asst. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, gave information on discipline and student conduct to all students. Finally, the student  association welcomed the new students and introduced the ICT Mahidol student clubs. At the end of the event, students were given the opportunity to ask questions about their studies and university life with the program instructors.

This activity aimed to provide important and necessary information to all new students. Additionally, it served to foster positive relationships among the new students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of ICT.

At the same occasion, the Faculty of ICT also organized the “Executives Meet Parents” event for the 2024 Academic Year, with the aim of building good relationships between the faculty and the parents of new students from both programs. The event was led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, who gave a warm welcome speech to the parents. Additionally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, introduced the teaching and learning of the Faculty of ICT and provided useful information about the programs to the parents. This event was held in Room IT204, 2nd floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
