ICT Mahidol welcomed the Royal Thai Police on their visit to the Mahidol Artificial Intelligence Center (MU AI Center)

On July 30, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), along with Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, and Lect. Snit Sanghlao, Assistant Dean for Engineering and Environment, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suppawong Tuarob, Instructor of Computer Science Academic Group, and Head of Machine Intelligence and Knowledge Engineering (MIKE) research group, welcomed Pol. Col. Supatra Chairat, Superintendent of Research and Innovation Development at the IT Support Division, along with a delegation from the Royal Thai Police, on their visit to the Mahidol Artificial Intelligence Center (MU AI Center) to discuss collaboration in research and technology development. The meeting took place in meeting rooms A1 and A2, 1st floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.

On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak provided an overview of the faculty, the establishment of the Mahidol AI Center, and introduced the works “AI Federated Learning for Medical Imaging (Chest Radiography), and AI Assistive Technology.”

Additionally, the faculty members presented two more academic works:

  • “MUBlinkAnalyzer: A Machine Learning Platform to Detect Abnormalities in Eyelid Blinking Based on High-Frame-Rate Videos” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Supratak, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group
  • “Forecasting Thai Economic Variables Using Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs

After the academic presentations, the Dean and faculty members led the visiting team from the Royal Thai Police on a tour of the faculty’s Data Center.”
