ICT Mahidol signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Komomi Co., Ltd., and discussed academic collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and Advanced Info Service PLC (AIS)

On July 9, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mr. Prarinya Ekapho and Mr. Sawangpong Muadphet, Directors of Komomi Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by representatives from both sides and took place in room IT404, 4th floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya. The attendees were as follows:

The signing of the MoU with Komomi Co., Ltd. aims to enhance the knowledge, abilities, and skills of ICT Mahidol students in information technology through practical learning experiences such as undergraduate research projects (Senior Projects), internships, and cooperative education with the company. This collaboration provides opportunities for students to further develop their skills and create new research or innovations. It also focuses on broadening the students’ knowledge to include skills beyond those taught in classroom, by applying business knowledge from the company to research in line with current market needs. Moreover, it aims to promote research and develop collaboration that can be practically applied in the private sector, fostering good academic relations and cooperation in technology transfer between businesses and educational institutions.
Following the signing ceremony, ICT Mahidol also held a meeting to discuss academic collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Advanced Info Service PLC (AIS), and Komomi Co., Ltd. on various topics, such as organizing an IoT Camp for Mahidol University students, conducting Hackathon projects, sending students for internships in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fields, and further developing startup businesses for students.
