On June 25, 2024, Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, represented the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), at the “Mahidol University SDGs Showcase 2024.” On this occasion, Clinical Prof. Emeritus Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, M.D., Chairman of the University Council, delivered the opening remarks. Following that, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, addressed the objectives of the event. Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., then presented commemorative gifts to distinguished speakers and panelists. The event was attended by members of the University Council, university administrators, faculty executives, staff, students, and esteemed guests at the Foyer of the Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The Mahidol University SDGs Showcase 2024 was organized through the collaboration of many divisions within Mahidol University, including the University Council, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), the Division of International Relations, the Division of Physical Systems and Environment, and the Division of Planning. The event aimed to raise awareness and understanding among staff and students about the importance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. It also sought to gather and display the works of students and staff who have undertaken projects and activities related to sustainable development. Furthermore, it aimed to provide a platform for knowledge dissemination to communities and society, as well as to seek opportunities for cooperation with external organizations to support the university’s socially beneficial initiatives.
