On June 18, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, represented the Dean in attending the “Foundation Stone-Laying Ceremony” for the METI School (Mahidol Entrepreneurship, Technology & Innovation School). The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University. During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura Na Ayudhya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, delivered the ceremony’s objective at the construction site of the METI School, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The establishment of the METI School aims to create a space for nurturing “scholars with the heart of innovators,” focusing on providing a learning environment that fosters creative abilities. This will lead to research and innovations that address societal needs through the Design Thinking process under the strategy of Education and Authentic Thinking, ultimately contributing to economic, industrial development, and societal benefits.
