On June 1, 8, and 15, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized a workshop titled “Full Spectrum Data Science: From Python Basics to ChatGPT Deep Learning and Generative AI with LangChain.” On this occasion, Asst. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, along with Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, served as the keynote speakers. They provided foundational knowledge in Python programming, data analysis using ChatGPT, and the application of Generative AI in text processing using LangChain to participants via Webex Meetings.
The objective of this workshop was to equip participants with foundational knowledge in various aspects of programming including general syntax and grammar of the Python language, types of machine learning, the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), basics of Large Language Models, text generation, utilizing the OpenAI Assistant API, and using LangChain to fine-tune Large Language Models (LLM). By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to program more effectively and apply the knowledge gained to their own work.
