On December 27, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), held an event to review the learning outcomes of the software engineering related internship project for the 11th-year high school students of the Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS). On this occasion, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, warmly welcomed Mr. Matthew Allsopp, English teacher & Curriculum Coordinator, and parents from the MUIDS in Room IT210, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The internship took place from December 18 to 27, 2023, totaling 48 hours. The objectives were to allow the high school students to explore knowledge, enhance skills, gain additional experience in areas of interest, and acquire real-world learning experiences. It also aimed to ensure that students would apply the knowledge gained in their projects or further their education in the future.
The internship included various topics:
- December 18, 2023: “Intro to Software Engineering and Requirement analysis” by Asst.Prof.Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul
- December 19, 2023: “Agile” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta
- December 20, 2023: “JavaScript” by Dr. Pisit Praiwattana
- December 21, 2023: “UX/UI Design” by Dr. Pawitra Liamruk
- December 25, 2023: Company visit to SCB Park Plaza for a Software Engineering field study
- December 26, 2023: “Software Testing” by Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul
Additionally, along the internship project, all students were provided opportunities to participate in Software Engineering Workshops by Mr. Prach Chaisiri, a Computer Technical Officer from the Information and Systems Department.
