On August 6, 2023, senior students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) organized the “Welcome Freshy & ICT x DST Sairahus 2023” event, under the theme “House Sorting Ceremony”. This event aimed to welcome the new students of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) for the academic year 2023. The event was graced by Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, who warmly welcomed the new students and started the activities at the Grand Auditorium in the ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
During the morning session, a series of activities were conducted for the “Welcome Freshy” event. These activities were designed to foster positive relationships between senior and junior students and to introduce the new students to the Faculty of ICT and Mahidol University. Interactive sessions were held in classrooms on the third floor and the Grand Auditorium.
In the afternoon, the “ICT x DST Sairahus 2023” event took place, featuring activities for each station. The event concluded with the “Find Your Sairahus Line” (Group of fraternity and sorority), followed by a small discussion between senior and junior students at the Bits & Bytes Hall. This event aimed to help all participating students, regardless of their year, to become acquainted, provide mutual support, and ease the transition into university life. Seniors would guide and advise juniors concerning academics and university life on campus.
