On June 2, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Phongsuphap, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Quality Assurance, together with Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, as the representatives of the Dean, participated in a tree planting activity on the occasion of World Environment Day 2023. The activity was attended by Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, the President of Mahidol University, along with MU executive teams and representatives from other departments and faculties within Mahidol University.
Together, they planted 53 Barringtonia Acutangula trees as a symbol of the “World Environment Day”, which falls on June 5th every year, and the “National Tree Planting Day 2023”. The aims of this activity were to increase green spaces within the university and to establish a source for carbon dioxide absorption, in line with Mahidol University’s objective of achieving “Net Zero Emission by the year 2030.”
