On February 27, 2023 – Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, the Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, and Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, the Deputy Dean for Research in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT Mahidol) from Mahidol University, participated in the “Mahidol-Bremen Board Meeting” with Dr. Mandy Boehnke, the Vice President for International Affairs, Academic Qualification and Diversity, Prof. Gabriel Zachmann, the University of Bremen faculty representative for the Mahidol-Bremen Strategic Partnership, and Ms. Barbara Hasenmüller, the Deputy Director of the International Office from the University of Bremen, Germany via Zoom.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the progress made on several ongoing initiatives, including the Summer Research Internships, Erasmus+ proposal, Workshop and Summer School of DAAD-supported Network of Excellence in Advanced Information Technology for Tropical Medicine, and Workshop of the Study Group on Intelligent Systems for Vector-Borne Disease, supported by the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg Institute for Advanced Study. In addition, the two parties discussed plans for a visit by a delegation from the University of Bremen in September 2023, the Christian Freksa PhD scholarship, the renewal of the student exchange agreement between the Faculty of ICT and the Faculty of Informatics, German language course planning, and credit transfer agreements.
