On 24 September 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Phongsuphap, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Quality Assurance, as well as Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Deputy Dean for Academic Administration and Acting Deputy Dean for Organizational Communication and Engagement as representatives of the Dean, together with ICT Mahidol Instructors and staff, paid respect and laid a wreath to His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, on the occasion of Mahidol Day 2022 at the Monument of the Prince Father, Mahidol Learning Center, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University.
The date September 24th of every year was designated as “Prince Mahidol Day” in commemoration of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. This day commemorates his contributions to the development of medical education in Thailand and his selfless devotion to the well-being of Thai people. He also founded the House of Mahidol, the present Royal Family of Thailand. In addition, Prince Mahidol established Siriraj School of Medicine as well as strengthened the solidarity of medical schools in Thailand. He also developed the effectiveness of teaching and learning in Thailand.
